Single zone DIY mini splits are an excellent choice for homeowners who want to regulate the temperature in a specific room without the hassle and expense of a central HVAC system. These units consist of an outdoor compressor and an indoor air handler, connected by refrigerant lines. They offer both cooling and heating capabilities, making them versatile for year-round comfort. Explore DIY mini splits at our comprehensive collection.
Klondike AC's collection includes several types of single zone DIY mini splits to suit various room sizes and cooling/heating needs. And also, here some other product collections that we offer for various zone requirements:
1. 2 zone DIY mini splits
These units are ideal for smaller spaces like bedrooms, home offices, or small apartments. They provide efficient cooling and heating for areas up to 500 square feet. With high SEER ratings, these mini splits can help you save on energy bills while maintaining a comfortable environment.
For medium-sized rooms like living rooms, dining rooms, or larger bedrooms, these mini splits offer the perfect balance of power and efficiency. They can effectively cool or heat spaces between 500 and 1,000 square feet. Many models in this range feature quiet operation, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily activities.
When you need to regulate the temperature in larger areas like open-concept living spaces, basements, or small commercial spaces, these powerful mini splits are up to the task. They can handle spaces from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. Despite their high capacity, these units maintain impressive energy efficiency ratings, helping you save money in the long run.
When selecting a single zone DIY mini split, consider the size of the space you want to cool or heat. A general rule of thumb is to have 20 BTUs per square foot. For example, a 500 square foot room would require a 10,000 BTU unit.
Also, think about the features that matter most to you. If you have a bedroom or home office, quiet operation might be a top priority. For those looking to maximise energy savings, focus on models with high SEER ratings.
Finally, consider your installation capabilities. Klondike AC's DIY mini splits are designed for easy installation, but it's essential to assess your comfort level with the process. If you're handy and confident in your abilities, a DIY mini split can save you money on professional installation costs.

Efficient fast and accurate
They were quick to deliver which was helpful. Would recommend again.
But overall, can't be at the ease of the wifi system. I'd still make the same purchase over infratech or bromic due to pretty much plug and play, and ease of use/installation/no need for addl control boxes and other weird components that are just frankly ugly. Hope they last!
Not the that's on the picture
